oscar mitt i natten...

vaknade vid 04 och tänkte att jag kan väl gå upp och titta på det som är kvar av oscarsgalan. en genomgång av websidan oscar.com berättar vad som hänt så långt under natten; ingen oscar för cate blanchett i vare sig skådespelerska eller biroll. det innebar att utdelningen blev 1 av 2 för elizabeth - the golden age som vann en gubbe för bästa kostym. bourne ultimatum leder ligan för flest vunna med tre statyetter för sound mixing, sound editing och film editing. sweeney todd fick en gubbe för art direction och no country for old men, eller javier bardem, en oscar för bästa manliga biroll. tilda swinton vann bästa kvinnliga biroll för sin roll i michael clayton och marion cotillard blev bästa kvinnliga skådis för sin insats i la vie en rose och slutligen vann atonement en oscar för bästa originalmusik...

men jag tror faktiskt att jag går och sover några timmar till. det är inte tillräckligt många högintressanta filmer i startfältet i år för att hålla mig uppe känner jag. galan är alltid rolig att se men jag kan göra det imorgon. och vinnarna... kan jag kolla om två timmar då jag går upp... gonatt så länge...

oscarsnomineringar

idag så fick vi alltså reda på vilka som blivit nominerade till årets oscarsgala. som vanligt var merparten av de nominerade filmerna sådant jag inte sett. så, för att ha någon aning om vad som kommer att hända den 24 februari så får man alltså ligga i för att hinna uppdatera sig.

hur som helst, utan att ha sett alltför många av de nominerade filmerna så kan vi konstatera att det är kul att johnny depp fått en nominering för sweeny todd. och att cate blanchett fått två, både huvudroll i elizabeth - the golden age och biroll i i'm not there. att marion cotillard fått en nominering för sin tolkning av edith piaf i la vie en rose är också kul. men det är klart att jag hoppas på cate. för hela listan med nomineringar kika in på oscars.com.

i övrigt kan vi konstatera att jag måste se michael clayton, juno, atonement, the savages och några till. och gärna så fort som möjligt... och så får vi, som sagt, se om det blir någon gala den 24 februari. jag håller i all fall alla tummar jag kan...

pre-oscar...

så... imorgon klockan 14.30 kommer (om jag räknat rätt) oscarsnomineringarna för den 80:e Oscarsgalan att presenteras live från hollywood. galan skall gå av stapeln söndagen den 24 februari OM manusförfattarstrejken har fått en lösning så att så att någon kan skriva ihop ett manus till den och vi slipper demonstrerande manusförfattare utanför galan som skrämmer slag på alla filmstjärnor och andra. hemska tanke. tänk om det inte blir någon gala. nog för att det känns som att filmåret 2007 var ett hyfsat påvert år utan större dundersuccéer (många av de filmer som blev nominerade i catenacci awards var aktuella i oscarsgalan året innan) men ett år utan oscarsgala känns ändå otänkbart. det vore ju helt enkelt för hemskt om den blev degraderad till en simpel presskonferens som ju blev fallet med lillebror golden globegalan. jag formligen ryser vid blotta tanken...

men nu skall vi inte gå händelserna i förväg. avtal har slutits med regissörerna i hollywood och förljaktligen är deras strejkhot avblåsta. representanter säger att avtalet är tillfredsställande och nydanande och nu skall manusförfattarna noggrant gå igenom och analysera innehållet i det för att sedan ställa förnyade krav. bara de gör det fort. vår gala är i gungning. frågan är om någon kanal köpt rättigheterna för galan i sverige...?

hur som helst så kommer i alla fall nomineringarna imorgon. det blir spännande. har förmodligen inte sett mer än ett minimalt antal nominerade filmer, det brukar nämligen vara så. men jag känner på mig att atonement kommer att ligga bra till... till dess...
